A new idea for web design
This is the first post on my photography and web development blog that features my dog Addie, which is surprising because a lot of the posts on my personal web blog are posts about her. And don’t even get me started about Instagram — photos of her are all over my feed! I never thought I’d become one of *those* dog ladies, but unfortunately (or fortunately) I have. Addie came into my life (and my boyfriend’s) almost 2 years ago.
At that time, we were fostering for MidAtlantic Bully Buddies. I wanted a dog; Matt was unsure if we were ready for all of the responsibilities, so we compromised: we tried fostering. We thought, “Hey, if we’re not ready, it’s only a temporary situation, and if we fall in love with a dog, great!” The dogs that the rescue group takes in are dogs pulled from shelters all over Maryland — dogs whose lives might be otherwise taken. The sad reality is is that there are so many dogs waiting at the shelters for their forever homes, and there aren’t enough families who can give them a loving home. We loved the idea of helping out and saving lives through fostering!
We saw 4 dogs come and go through our home, and with each dog, we grew more and more comfortable with the idea of having our own. Eventually Addie made her way into our home, and we just could not bear the idea of saying goodbye to her, so we adopted her ourselves! Since that day, she has become the center of our attention; our consistent snuggle bunny; and of course, a natural photography subject/model in front of the camera!
Earlier this week, I snapped a few Valentine’s Day photos of her. She was a great and willing subject
